SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DISADVANTAGED FEMALE STUDENTS IN NIGERIA
For several years IWL has offered these scholarships for educationl advancement of female students from low-income families in Nigeria. The scholarship funds cover educational costs from junior high through senior high school. The recipients of these scholarships would otherwise not have been able to obtain secondary education as a result of poverty. This is a project that is very dear to our hearts because we realize how important education is and its ability to lift people out of poverty. We have set up scholarship funds for educational advancement of twenty-eight female students and eighteen recipients have graduated from high school and some of them are already in the university. IWL currently exploring the possibility of sponsoring those students through university.
